artist statement

Sculptural jewelry for men and women. Fusing antique with space-age, and comfort with individuality. Jewelry is formed, fabricated, and pierced creating small sculptures of different textures, levels, and metals. Using gold and silver nuances that balance each other, I accent the metal forms with hand cut stones. Inspired by aquatic life, elements in nature, and urban relics. Movement and repetition blend in unique ways allowing the forms to be complimented by intricate mechanisms. In my studio I am an engineer, an inventor, and a scientist, working to create jewelry that has a history and tells a story.
